ABOUT:
Gentle Art Conservation LLC began more than fifteen years ago as Gentle Art Services, based in San Francisco, CA.
With Bachelors degrees in Art History and Environmental Sciences from UC Santa Cruz, its owner, Justin Wyckoff has worked with museums, galleries, collectors, and dealers in many different capacities including installation, registration, fine art transport, curation, lighting design and the coordination of traveling exhibitions, including work at SFMOMA in art installation and lighting.
Then in 2014 Justin began an apprenticeship under Master Conservator James Pennuto at the Conservation of Art LLC in San Mateo, CA. Under his guidance and tutelage, Justin worked for more than seven years while attending conferences and workshops.
Currently, Gentle Art Conservation LLC works with galleries and private collectors in the field. We are committed to the careful planning and execution of treatment plans, while adhering to the Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC).
